Why Kedeling exists
Kedeling allows ISGARD material to fold predictably into a specified three-dimensional thermal package while maintaining controlled material placement at corners, walls, and closures.
ISGARD™ TECHNOLOGY · THE KEDELING™ PROCESS
Kedeling™ — the controlled scoring and pinching process used in ISGARD™ thermal packaging to create engineered fold locations within the insulating material. The term is derived from the Ilocano word “kedle,” meaning “to pinch.”
Kedeling allows ISGARD material to fold predictably into a specified three-dimensional thermal package while maintaining controlled material placement at corners, walls, and closures.
Kedeling helps form compressible ISGARD insulation into repeatable package geometry without treating it like conventional rigid insulation.
The process connects directly to ARTODD’s ongoing physical validation of 1-PC and 2-PC ISGARD constructions, where fold behavior, seating, coverage, closure, and practical assembly matter together.
